Why Farr exists — the message that started it all
I'm working a parking deck making $30 an hour.
Someone I had worked with at a Fortune 500 company sent me a message. “I can't get a job, Marcus. Same thing I've done for years, no offers.” Twelve months earlier he was earning $300,000.
I got angry, then I went looking. The layoff isn't the event — it's the lagging indicator. A role goes obsolete six to twelve months before a company acts on it. The company sees it coming. The worker never does. He had six months of warning. I'm building what would have made him take action.
