What we keep, and what we don't.

• Your resume file (PDF or Word, including a LinkedIn PDF) is read in memory to extract its text. The file itself is discarded once the text is read; we never keep it.
• Before anything is processed, saved or sent to AI, we remove your name and other identifiers: email addresses, phone numbers, URLs, street addresses and ZIP codes.
• We keep the redacted text for up to 30 days so Russell can rewrite your resume if you ask him to. It is then deleted automatically. We don't keep the rewrite itself.
• Your score record is kept for 12 months, as described below.

Your Vert™ career score, tier, extracted career signals (such as role count or tools named — never names), market notes, the role you want next (if you give one), whether you told us you're currently looking for a new role, and your three moves. Your score, signals and moves are kept for 12 months, then deleted automatically. You can ask us to delete them sooner. If you use Russell, we also keep what you tell him in your log, your plan and commitments, and a timeline if you share one — never income, debts, rent amounts or health details. Voice notes are transcribed and the audio is discarded immediately; the raw transcript is not kept. Your score and moves are tied only to a random session ID created in your browser — no account is needed to get a score, and none is created. Russell is different: members sign in, and what they share with him is tied to their account so he can pick up where they left off. Members can see and delete it anytime in “What Russell remembers”. If you ask Russell a question on your score page, your question and his answer are processed by AI to reply to you and are not saved.

Accounts. Members sign in with email and password. We use your email only for sign-in and password reset emails.

Your result is reachable only through a private link token that expires after 24 hours. There are no public score pages.

Redacted text is processed by Google's Gemini models through Lovable's AI gateway to extract career signals, write your moves and write Russell's replies. The AI does not pick your number — the Farr Model™ computes it in code.

We don't use your resume to train AI models.

Resume rewrite delivery. When you request a rewrite and tick the consent box, we store your email and consent date with that rewrite request, linked to its score, so we can deliver it even if processing takes longer or needs a closer look. This address is never included in analytics. We keep the request with your score for up to 12 months, or delete it sooner on request. The rewrite file is generated in memory and discarded after delivery.

Founding member. If you give us your email and tick the box to join the Russell beta, we store your email with your consent and its date, separately from any score. It is never linked to a score. We use it only to invite you to the beta and tell you about Russell, your career agent in Film Room^™. Founding members may also get short check-in emails from Russell. Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe anytime, and the email alone is never used for anything else. If you tap 'just count my interest' without an email, we store only that a tap happened.

Check-ins. If you opt in to check-ins, your email is linked only to the score snapshot you consented to (see Optional check-ins below).

If you opt in, we store your email with a copy of your score, tier, job title, industry, target role and reasons (never your resume), to learn whether Vert™ predicts real outcomes. You can withdraw anytime via hello@joinfarr.com or the unsubscribe link in any check-in email.

We record first-party usage events (for example, "score shown" or "share opened") tied to the random session ID. They also record which site or link brought you here (the referring website's name and any campaign tags in the link), your device type (phone, tablet or computer) and your country — never your IP address or the full page you came from.

We may describe de-identified usage patterns publicly, for example how many times a resume was scored in a session, how long it took, or which target roles were tried. These descriptions never include names, email addresses, employers, schools, locations or any text from a resume, and we never attempt to identify the person behind a session.

On our public marketing pages — the homepage, Privacy and Terms, never the upload or score pages — we use the Meta Pixel to measure our Instagram and Facebook ads. It reports page views only, for visitors whose country is confirmed as the United States. Meta receives browser and connection information, the marketing page URL and advertising cookies where available; we do not enable advanced matching or send user data with these events. Meta never receives your resume, name, email, score or anything you upload. We send no server-side ad-conversion signals. We use no session replay. Visitors outside the United States, or whose country cannot be confirmed, are not tracked by Meta.

We honor your browser's Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals by not loading or firing the Pixel. You can turn on either signal to stop this measurement; your browser can also block or delete advertising cookies.

Connection (IP) addresses are hashed with a secret to prevent abuse and the hashes are deleted after 2 days.

Your share card is created on your device and is never uploaded. You decide whether to post it.

We do not sell your data. Beyond the marketing-page ad-measurement signals described above, we don't share your data with advertisers. Processing takes place in the United States.
